Nikki Rood

A little bit about me:

I can’t remember a time in my life when my interests weren’t about exploring and uncovering aspects of our world that are potentially healthy, vibrant, and meaningful. As a small child, I was very ill and I think that fueled my passion for pursuing wellness.

Born and raised in New York City, I’ve deeply explored places and cultures that intrigued and inspired me at different times in my life. Learning from people in my own and other communities has been an enriching and continuing joy. Understanding different interpretations of local food, music, art, lifestyles, and belief systems has always been fascinating to me. We are all so fundamentally connected.

From NYC, France, Italy, and India, to Sanibel Island, Jamaica, the Caribbean, and the lush rainforests of the South American Amazon, I’ve been grateful to touch and feel different philosophies, spiritualities, modalities of medicine, nature, healing ways, and culinary richness, with and through the eyes of others. The rich perspectives gained in these life chapters have opened my own eyes and heart. It is a gift I want to share.
